Typical 'non-digital' Billboard Layout for a 14' x 48' Billboard

To submit artwork follow these steps:

a.      Photoshop CS4 (PSD) and Illustrator (CS4) (AI/EPS/PDF)files accepted

*(We will review GIMP EPS files, but the art work will probably

have to be redone with Adobe.)

b.      File must be to ¼” scale, ¼” = 1”; 3 ½” x 12” equates to a 14’ x 48’ billboard.

c.      Include a 1/8” bleed on all four sides with additional “live areas” for printing purposes

d.      Files must have a resolution of at least 300dpi.

e.      Save files in CMYK color mode

f.       Save the Photoshop file in layers (GIMP will do this as well.)

g.      Convert all text to paths or outlines, or include all font types

h.      Embed all linked files

i.       Total file size should never exceed 50mb

j.       Freehand, Corel Draw or Quark files will need to be exported as an AI/EPS file type.

k.      Always indicate PMS Colors

For a Digital Billboard Layout:

  • It should fit the aforementioned size and layout (Ref: "b" above)
  • Use .jpg file and file extensions (Call if working in .png or other formats)
  • Work in CMYK using US Web Coated (SWOP v2) color profile
  • Minimum resolution of 300 ppi, 408 ppi for optimal output
  • Include .25" of bleed on all edges

between 30 to 90 days for the process to take place and the art work to be available for

the advertiser.  Most of us are volunteers so whatever help you can provide will

    shorten timelines.

After we (Francis Marion) have the artwork reviewed and approved, and confirmation

that the Advertising entity will support the artwork we will provide you a centralized

vehicle (Francis Marion) for you to obtain the required funding.  We will help you by

posting it on www.FrancisMarion.biz with a secure payment link so you can obtain funding.

As a reminder, this will be a T E A M effort with Francis Marion.  If you do not achieve

proper funding through your own promotional channels Francis Marion is not liable

nor responsible for any loss or failure and will refund all money (Upon Request) minus
